
Mr Ibrahim Nasreen (Nattu), Managing Director, Public Service Media (PSM), Maldives
With over two decades of experience, Ibrahim Nasreen (Nattu) is a distinguished professional and academic recognised in the field of service innovation and design. He holds an MSc in Service Innovation from Thammasat University, Thailand, graduating with First Class Honours in 2015, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Design and Multimedia from Limkokwing University, Malaysia, where he also graduated with First Class Honours in 2009.
Nattu’s honours and awards include the National Award in the category of Innovation, Creativity, and Outstanding Performance in Academic Research (November 2016). He received the Boeing Master Student Research Award (2015) from the Travel and Tourism Research Association (TTRA), USA, for his thesis on developing innovative service experiences to maintain the Maldives’ position as a luxury tourist destination. Nattu was also recognised as a JCI Maldives TOYP 2016 Honoree in the category of Academic Research, Leadership, and Accomplishment. Earlier in his career, he earned the Industry Award for Excellence as the Best Student in Multimedia Design and a Certificate of Excellence for active involvement in the university’s industry project, both awarded by Limkokwing University in 2009. Nattu has a diverse professional background, combining expertise in business innovation, marketing, and creative design.
He first joined PSM in 2010. Before he was appointed Managing Director of Public Service Media (PSM), he was the Director of Sales and Marketing at PSM, where he has worked since 2015, progressing through key roles including Chief Commercial Officer and Director of eCommerce, Marketing, and Business Development. He also gained experience in creative roles in other media outlets contributing to PR & channel branding and marketing projects.
In addition to his corporate career, Nattu is a visiting lecturer at several institutions, including Villa College, MAPS College, the Maldives National University (MNU) and Cyryx College teaching subjects such as marketing, service innovation, service marketing and tourism management. His professional and academic achievements reflect a commitment to innovation, leadership, and continuous learning.
