Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: Ms. Philomena Gnanapragasam, Secretariat Director of the Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD), along with her team, recently met with H.E. Michalis Rokas, Ambassador of the European Union in Malaysia. The purpose of the meeting was to brief the Ambassador on the upcoming 19th Asia Media Summit, scheduled to take place from September 1st to 6th.
During the meeting, Ms. Gnanapragasam expressed her gratitude to the Ambassador and his esteemed office for their collaboration with AIBD in recent past media literacy and human development-related training activities. H.E. Michalis Rokas appreciated the role of AIBD in recent times, specifically highlighting the Institute’s mandate and the significant contributions it has made towards media development in the Asia-Pacific region.
The Ambassador mentioned that the Embassy of the European Union in Malaysia is always pleased to engage in meaningful collaborations that align with the EU’s mandate in the region. He further congratulated Ms. Philomena Gnanapragasam on the successful organisation of the previous Asia Media Summit held in Bali, Indonesia, and wished her the best for the upcoming summit.
