AIBD CEO meets with the Ambassador of Belgium to Malaysia

Ms Philomena Gnanapragasam, CEO and Secretariat Director of AIBD, along with her staff, paid a courtesy call at the Embassy of Belgium to Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur on 08th of May 2024 and met with His Excellency Peter Van Acker.   

The meeting’s major objective was to explain the Asia Media Summit – 2024, which would be held from September 1st to 5th, 2024.  

AIBD’s CEO/Director further invited the Belgian Embassy to participate in AMS. Discussions also focused on how Belgian media firms could engage in future AIBD activities, with the Belgium Ambassador outlining how Belgian enterprises operate in Malaysia.  

The AIBD team briefed the ambassador on potential areas for action in various workshops to which the Belgian Embassy could contribute. The ambassador also pledged to working with his deputy to seek options for the Belgian Embassy to sponsor the Asia Media Summit. Ms. Philomena invited Ambassador Peter Van Acker to be one of the esteemed speakers of the Summit.  

After the meeting, AIBD presented a gift to the Belgian ambassador as an expression of gratitude for the opportunity, followed by a photo session.
