In 2024, the most countries in history will hold national or presidential elections, with at least 64 countries, including the European Union, scheduled to vote, representing more than 49% of the world population. The outcomes of these elections will have far-reaching implications for many people. Despite potentially high voter turnout and robust media ecosystems in many of these countries, the need of responsible journalism and trustworthy information transmission cannot be overstated in these critical times.
To satisfy this demand, AIBD is pleased to host a webinar aimed at equipping media practitioners with the skills required to manage the growing scope of election reporting while also broadening their grasp of the global election landscape. AIBD recognizes the importance of bringing together a wide range of stakeholders in a single platform to raise awareness of the need to establish a more exclusive and transparent democratic environment leading to global election environment. An AIBD-led webinar will provide journalists of Asia-Pacific working in print, television, and social media with an opportunity to network and pick up new knowledge about evolving global election environment.
Join us for our upcoming AIBD Webinar as we explore the nuances of democracy and elections, taking you into the dialogue.
Mark your calendars for March 13th, 2024, and prepare to engage with our esteemed panel of speakers.
