AIBD staff held their annual get-together on 18 January 2013 – an auspicious and a lucky day for prosperity according to the Chinese Lunar Calendar.
Colleagues of AIBD and FES joined each other to celebrate the achievements of the past year while it was also the time for a bit-of-a -relaxation away from the daily hustle bustle of the official work.
Mr Yang Binyuan, Director of AIBD welcomed all and invited to celebrate the achievements of the past year of the Institute and made use of the chance to get to know each other informally. He said that the staff deserved this get together for having worked diligently in performing their duties. He continued by saying that “while we celebrate our laurels we should not be complacent at any time but be ready to face the unpredicted yet challenging scenario and look forward to working with vigour in 2013”.
While thanking the staff the Director presented the Ang Pow’s to each staff member following the Chinese tradition in view of the forthcoming Chinese New Year.
It was a double celebration for the two colleagues Marcel and Holger who celebrated their birthdays in the month of January.

AIBD recertified and achieves ISAS BCP 9001: 2010
AIBD was recertified as meeting the requirements of ISAS BCP 9001: 2010. The certification is valid until October 2015 which is renewable at the end of the three year period. The certificate includes AIBD’s quality management systems and its core activities in training, consultancy, publication, content production, and conference and workshop organisation.
