The Pacific Media Partnership Conference (PMPC) 2012 will be held in Apia, Samoa on 20th September. The theme for PMPC 2012 is “Media and Society in the Pacific: Making a Difference”. The conference is jointly organised by the AIBD, ABU, and Pacific Media Partnership. The PMPC is hosted by Samoa Quality Broadcasting Company Ltd. with Pacific Media Assistance Scheme (PACMAS) and the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) as major partners and supported by ABC, RNZ, SOPAC, SPREP, WHO and Australian Aid. The grand opening ceremony of Myanmar Media Development Center (MMDC) was held in Yangon on July 15, 2012. MMDC has been operational since January 2012. It has already conducted four foundation courses on TV Broadcasting and is scheduled to start a Diploma in TV Broadcasting course in late July.
