Regional Media Dialogue
Aims
The main aim of this dialogue is to bring together regional media leaders, policymakers, humanitarians, and migrant activists to share ideas, experiences, and knowledge on the issues of female migrant labour. This event will explore the current issues related to subject in different countries, stories that needs to be highlighted on the mainstream media. The dialogue will also explore various ways on how media can create impact to minimise the hatred among communities and sensitise the governments to provide the female migrant workers sufficient opportunities to play their part in the economy.
The objectives of this regional dialogue will be:

to understand the current regional situation of the female migrant labour and how their issues are portrayed on the media

to analyse the significant challenges faced by on-field reporters while covering migrant stories

to learn from various regional case studies to avoid common journalistic pitfalls
Target Audience: This event will be open for all the media practitioners in Asia-Pacific region. Apart from mainstream media channels, AIBD will be inviting media universities and social media influencers to attend this event.
