AIBD is proud to have participated in the Engagement and Policy Dialogue: Accelerating Sustainability Across the Asia-Pacific Private Sector, held on December 5, 2024, in Jakarta, Indonesia. This significant event, organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) Sustainable Business Network (ESBN) in collaboration with APINDO, brought together key stakeholders to address regional challenges.
The dialogue focused on driving innovation, fostering Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), and promoting inclusive growth, especially for vulnerable countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
AIBD CEO, Ms. Philomena Gnanapragasam, proudly represented the organization as one of the esteemed panelists. In her address, she reaffirmed AIBD’s commitment to sustainability and underscored the critical role of PPPs in advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Her remarks echoed the sentiments shared by the UN Under-Secretary-General and ESCAP Executive Secretary, who highlighted the importance of mobilising PPPs to drive innovation and strengthen regulatory frameworks.
AIBD extends its gratitude to Mr. Sudip Ranjan Basu, Chief of the Sustainable Business Network at UNESCAP, for the opportunity to contribute to this impactful dialogue.
Together, let’s continue to build a sustainable future for the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. 🌱
