AIBD’s Visit to Star Media Production Services in Beijing, China
Thursday, 25/04/2024 – The Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD) recently visited Star Media Production Services, a leading media production company headquartered in Beijing, China. During the visit, we had the pleasure of meeting their leadership team, including Vice President Mr. Yong Jun Chen, Ms. Jiali Chen, Executive Assistant to the President, and Mr. Eddie Ke, General Manager.
Star Media offers a comprehensive set of production capabilities. They manufacture Outside Broadcast (OB) trucks in China and have a variety of studio sizes, from flagship spaces of 3,600 square meters to studios ranging from 2,200 square meters to 400 square meters, catering to a variety of production needs. Their commitment to innovation is evident in their investment in state-of-the-art virtual studios, which have spaces ranging between 600 square meters and 450 square meters. Additionally, construction is underway for a 2,200-square-meter studio, which will be a new industry benchmark.
Beyond traditional production, Star Media is actively developing virtual studios, motion capture technology, and focusing on cutting-edge technologies: Artificial Intelligence and the Metaverse. They are building live streaming rooms across China.
