VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM FIJI BROADCASTING CORPORATION (FBC)
AIBD WOULD LIKE TO CALL ON OUR MEMBERS TO HELP
Fiji Cyclone
Fiji has suffered its worst cyclone over the weekend and parts of the country have been virtually destroyed with thousands homeless and many dead and injured. It’s now a week after the cyclone and FBC’s radio and TV services are still not available in the great part of the country. We have suffered very costly extensive damage and we are yet to assess the full extent of the damage to our infrastructure.
This is an event of catastrophic proportions and will take everyone in Fiji a long time to recover from. I would also like AIBD to assist if possible by informing all member organisations about this. If anyone is willing to assist then they can send they donations to the following account for the purchase of urgently needed food, shelter, school and medicine supplies for the thousands affected.
