The 3rd International Conference on Broadcast Training, hosted by the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia, Malaysia (KKMM) and organised by the Tun Abdul Razak Broadcasting and Information Institute (IPPTAR) and AIBD will be held on 5-6 February 2015 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.           

           

Creative Content – Maximising Business Value and Audience Experience

The 3rd International Conference on Broadcast Training, hosted by the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia, Malaysia (KKMM) and organised by the Tun Abdul Razak Broadcasting and Information Institute (IPPTAR) and AIBD will be held on 5-6 February 2015 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. 

This Conference will benefit trainers, practitioners and managers who need to lead their staff into the new world of interactive, social, multi-platform media.

Creating great content is a combination of talent, inspiration and process. Using creative content across the many platforms now available to the audience is essential for success in today’s broadcast environment. This conference will expose participants to the latest trends in creative content across traditional and new platforms and generate discussion and debate, so that you will leave the conference empowered with the latest knowledge in this important area of broadcasting.

The Regional Workshop on Media Literacy was jointly organised by the Tun Abdul Razak Broadcasting and Information Institute (IPPTAR) and AIBD from 1-3 December in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The workshop brought 14 participants, including producers, editors and managers involved in content production, from broadcast organisations in Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.

The Regional Workshop on Programmes for Social Media (TV and Radio) organised by AIBD and the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) was held in Amman, Jordan from 7-9 September 2014.

The workshop brought 15 participants, which include social media community editors, new media and multimedia editors, and news and programme managers from broadcasting organisations around the Arab region.

The workshop aimed to allow participants to gain a ‘social media perspective’ in regards to broadcasting and being able to develop a significant relationship with their audience through social media.

The consultant for the workshop was Mr. David Botbol, Deputy Managing Editor for Sports and News Magazines at France TV, France.

The Regional Workshop on Social Media for Development was held on 30 June – 2 July 2014 in Incheon, Republic of Korea and was attended by AIBD Programme Manager Saqib Sheikh. The workshop was organised by the United Nations Asian and Pacific Training Centre for Information and Communication Technology for Development (UN-APCICT) and was attended by over 40 experts in various fields of development, including the government sector, media broadcasting, disaster risk relief and reduction, agriculture and ICT. 

The Korea Radio Promotion Association (RAPA), in cooperation with AIBD, is promoting their ‘Donation of Broadcasting Equipment Program’ to provide developing countries with broadcast equipment. This international cooperative programme offers analogue and digital broadcast equipment to beneficiary countries, a part of South Korea’s ODA (Official Development Assistance) project.
