World TV Awards 2015 – Winners & Runners-Up Announcement
AIBD is pleased to announce the winners and runners-up of the World Television Awards 2015, category Humanity for the Best TV Documentary on "Dealing with Natural Disaster” and category Science/Environment for the Best TV Programme on “Supporting Climate Change Initiative”.
AIBD supports Girls in ICT day
Backed by International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the world celebrates fourth Thursday in April, every year as Girls in ICT day. AIBD supports this ITU initiative which aims to create a global environment that empowers and encourages girls and young women to consider careers in the growing field of information and communication technologies (ICTs).
UN-APCICT Expert Group Meeting on Social Media and Disaster Risk Management
AIBD participated in the Expert Group Meeting on Social Media and Disaster Risk Management which took place from 7 – 8 April 2015 in Incheon, South Korea. The workshop was organised by the Asian and Pacific Training Centre for Information and Communication Technology for Development (APCICT).

World TV Awards 2015 – Extended and Final Deadline
Considering the importance of the topics and anticipating an overwhelming response from Television Programme Producers, the deadline for programme submission of the World TV Awards is now extended to Monday 20th April 2015, which will be the final deadline.

Announcement of Call of Entry for AIBD Awards 2015
AIBD is pleased to announce the opening of call of entry for the AIBD Awards 2015. We are pleased to present this opportunity to all AIBD members and affiliates. Supported by AIBD, this competition will provide the opportunity for television and radio producers to receive international recognition for their work.
AIBD/NRK/Thai PBS workshop on Children TV Programmes
Next year Thai PBS is coming up with a new channel for children and family programmes. The organisation has taken up many new projects to increase the production of children’s programmes for the new channel. Thus an AIBD/NRK/ Thai PBS workshop on ‘Children TV Programmes was organised from 23 to 27 February in Bangkok to develop six of these projects.
