AIBD celebrates is celebrating a world of sounds and peace today the 13th to Thursday the 17th of February 2023 in partnership with UNESCO.
This is to mark the World Radio Day which falls on 13th of February annually and for this year, the UN-proposed theme is “Radio and Peace”.
With this AIBD-UNESCO initiative to mark this important day for the radio broadcasting industry, a closer look is taken the on dissemination of peace initiative information and conflict resolution efforts.
Radio being an important medium challenged by the times and an overload of information, continues to strive to be the sound of peace.
The activities to mark the event from today up until Thursday include curation of video messages by leaders of the regional Radio industry, members will also share their activities to mark the day and the curation of programs broadcasted on the day by members and their synopsis.
There will also be a web-summit launch with the title, “Celebrating a world of sounds for a peaceful world.
