Asia Media Summit 2024

19TH ASIA MEDIA SUMMIT
The Asia Media Summit (AMS) is an annual international media conference organised by AIBD as its flagship event. Every year in consultation with the members, partners and various global media gurus, a theme guides the direction and delivery of the summit. Being a unique broadcasting event in Asia-Pacific, it attracts around 500 top-ranking broadcasters, decision makers, media professionals, regulators, scholars, and stakeholders from within and outside the region. Apart from plenary sessions and pre-summit workshops, Asia Media Summit also provides a platform for intergovernmental dialogues to uplift the benchmarks of the regional media industry.

Pre-Summit Regional Workshops Set the Momentum for AMS 2025
Siem Reap, Cambodia | 21 July 2025

On 21 July 2025, the Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD) proudly hosted a series of Pre-Summit Regional Workshops in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Paving the way for meaningful dialogue and collaboration ahead of the 20th Asia Media Summit.

These workshops brought together a vibrant mix of media professionals, policymakers, technologists, producers, and academics from across the region to explore timely themes and build capacity through knowledge exchange and practical insight.

The sessions included:

  • AIBD Regional Pre-Summit Masterclass on Digital Newsroom

  • AIBD Regional Pre-Summit Workshop on Transforming Media Content Creation through AI-powered Tools & Technologies

  • AIBD Regional Pre-Summit Workshop on Technology Driving Accessibility for the Future Broadcast and Media

  • AIBD Regional Pre-Summit Workshop on The Role of Information Diplomacy in Dispelling Disinformation

Each session was designed to equip participants with tools and perspectives needed to navigate the rapidly evolving media landscape, from AI integration and newsroom digitisation to inclusive broadcasting and countering disinformation.

The workshops featured insightful presentations, hands-on training, and dynamic exchanges between delegates, reinforcing AIBD’s commitment to advancing media excellence and innovation in the Asia-Pacific region.
