Asia Media Summit 2024

19TH ASIA MEDIA SUMMIT
The Asia Media Summit (AMS) is an annual international media conference organised by AIBD as its flagship event. Every year in consultation with the members, partners and various global media gurus, a theme guides the direction and delivery of the summit. Being a unique broadcasting event in Asia-Pacific, it attracts around 500 top-ranking broadcasters, decision makers, media professionals, regulators, scholars, and stakeholders from within and outside the region. Apart from plenary sessions and pre-summit workshops, Asia Media Summit also provides a platform for intergovernmental dialogues to uplift the benchmarks of the regional media industry.

46th Annual Gathering / 19th AIBD General Conference & Associated Meetings 2021  

9th December 2021 (Thursday) at 2:00 pm Malaysian Time (GMT+8)  

 

The AIBD Secretariat is pleased to announce the 46th Annual Gathering/19th AIBD General Conference & Associated Meetings 2021, held virtually on 9th December 2021 at 2 pm Malaysian time (GMT+8). The GC will invite members to discuss the most pertinent issues, media strategies, and the way forward in the new norm.  

Several ministers of Information and Broadcasting from the Asia-Pacific region and Representatives from UN agencies are expected to grace this event. The delegates are invited to witness the unveiling of the Media Charter.  

The Media Charter is the outcome of the ‘Leaders Web-Summit held on 2 – 3 June 2021 where five Ministers from Bangladesh, Kingdom of Cambodia, Malaysia, Nigeria and the Philippines deliberated on the future of the media in the new norm.   

This event is exclusively for AIBD Members.
