CATEGORY HUMANITY for the Best TV Documentary on "Dealing with Natural Disaster"
- Winner: "Pagbangon" directed by Angeli Guidaya-Atienza and broadcast by GMA Network, Inc – Philippines
- Runner-up: "Survival of the Fittest" directed by M.D. Imam Hossain and broadcast by BTV – Bangladesh
CATEGORY SCIENCE / ENVIRONMENT for the Best TV Programme on "Supporting Climate Change Initiative"
- Winner: "Extreme Weather" directed by Anja Taylor and broadcast by ABC – Australia
- Runner-up: "Future Forward – Climate Change" directed by Jonathan David Peeris and broadcast by MediaCorp Pte Ltd – Singapore
The final jury session of the World TV Awards 2015 took place 23 and 24 April 2015 at the AIBD office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

AIBD supports Girls in ICT day
Backed by International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the world celebrates fourth Thursday in April, every year as Girls in ICT day. AIBD supports this ITU initiative which aims to create a global environment that empowers and encourages girls and young women to consider careers in the growing field of information and communication technologies (ICTs).
UN-APCICT Expert Group Meeting on Social Media and Disaster Risk Management
AIBD participated in the Expert Group Meeting on Social Media and Disaster Risk Management which took place from 7 – 8 April 2015 in Incheon, South Korea. The workshop was organised by the Asian and Pacific Training Centre for Information and Communication Technology for Development (APCICT).
