Globally, more voters than ever before will go to the polls in 2024, as at least 64 countries (including the European Union)-representing over 49% of the world’s population-are expected to hold national elections, the results of which will have long-term consequences for many. Of course, simply holding an election does not guarantee it will be free and fair.  AIBD recognizes the importance of bringing together a wide range of stakeholders in a single platform to raise awareness of the need to establish a more exclusive and transparent democratic environment leading to global election environment. An AIBD-led webinar will provide journalists of Asia-Pacific working in print, television, and social media with an opportunity to network and pick up new knowledge about evolving global election environment.
