Dear AIBD Radio Members and All Members,

Re: World Radio day 2016

Please accept our warm greetings from the Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD).

AIBD would like to request its member organisations to join hands with UNESCO to celebrate World Radio Day 2016 with the main theme of “Radio in Times of Emergency and Disaster”.

The World Radio Day falls on February 13, 2016. UNESCO is suggesting that various activities be held and programmes be broadcast leading to the day.

UNESCO has given five key themes and 15 ideas to celebrate the World Radio Day 2016. We would like to request broadcast organisations to follow the themes and ideas, which is attached with this letter.

For more information, please visit www.worldradioday.org, which was officially launched on 18 January 2016.
