Call for Entries for AIBD International Awards 2024 (Deadline: 10 July 2024)

The Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD) is excited to announce the launch of its international award for 2024, recognizing and rewarding outstanding initiatives in the year 2022 and 2023.

The award is open to all AIBD member organizations (full and affiliates), with following three categories:

  1. Best Television Programme on Inclusivity for All: Celebrating Diversity
    • This category will celebrate television programmes that embrace and amplify the richness of human diversity through authentic, nuanced, and inclusive storytelling. The objective of this theme is to acknowledge programmes that challenge social stereotypes, and highlight a deeper understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures, identities, experiences, and abilities. These programmes serve as catalysts for positive social change, promoting inclusivity, empathy, and a profound sense of belonging among all viewers, regardless of their backgrounds or circumstances.

    • Entry form: Best TV Programme 2024
  2. Best Radio Programme for Building Cultural Bridges
    • The power of Radio lies in its ability to connect communities, transcending boundaries and building bridges between diverse cultures. This award recognises radio programmes that leverage the medium’s inherent strengths to bridge divides, promote cross-cultural understanding, celebrate the richness of different traditions and perspectives, and encourage dialogue and appreciation among diverse communities.

    • Entry Form: Best Radio Programme 2024
  3. Sustainability & Green Technology Award on Accessibility Broadcasting
    • In the pursuit of a more inclusive, and equitable conscious future, this award celebrates initiatives that harness technology to enhance accessibility and sustainability within the broadcasting industry. It recognises efforts that enable individuals with disabilities to fully engage with and enjoy broadcast content. By highlighting such successful case studies, these initiatives set a new standard for responsible, equitable, and inclusive broadcasting practices.
