French Government / AIBD – Regional Workshop on Designing and Producing Content for Internet

“Designing and Producing Content for Internet” was the last regional workshop of the 3-year training activities plan dedicated to TV content, formats and visual dynamics supported by the French Government and AIBD. This 4-day activity took place from 16 to 19 January 2012 in Jakarta, Indonesia, and was hosted by the local TV channel SCTV.

The aim of this workshop was the adaptation and the creation of TV programmes for the Internet platform. This workshop focused on the importance of creating Web content from a TV programme and helped TV producers to develop skills in managing the challenges this content format can bring.

During 4 days, participants from Media Prima (Malaysia), MCOT (Thailand), GMA (Philippines) and SCTV (Indonesia) worked together. Each group worked on a TV concept, either new or currently broadcasted by their channel, to adapt it for digital platforms (Internet, mobile, tablets…). Then the participants brainstormed on a new crossmedia program, including Internet, digital & mobile platforms. The last day, each participant developed and presented their own concept.

At the end of the workshop the participants were able to understand the specificities of the TV programmes production for Internet and develop a clear overview of the process of implementation according to Internet protocol. Therefore, they were capable of formulating a concrete 360º strategy in terms of TV content for Internet and understand the key points and opportunities presented through web branding.

The two French experts who conducted this workshop were David Botbol (Deputy Managing Editor for Sports, in charge of Digital Projects at France Televisions, and Delphine Franiau, Brand Content, Digital and Partnerships Expert and Brands & Events Development Manager at Unibail-Rodamco.
