Asia Media Summit 2024

19TH ASIA MEDIA SUMMIT
The Asia Media Summit (AMS) is an annual international media conference organised by AIBD as its flagship event. Every year in consultation with the members, partners and various global media gurus, a theme guides the direction and delivery of the summit. Being a unique broadcasting event in Asia-Pacific, it attracts around 500 top-ranking broadcasters, decision makers, media professionals, regulators, scholars, and stakeholders from within and outside the region. Apart from plenary sessions and pre-summit workshops, Asia Media Summit also provides a platform for intergovernmental dialogues to uplift the benchmarks of the regional media industry.

The workshop is being held at the newly established Myanmar Media Development Centre (MMDC) in Yangon.

Kalle introduced the subject by screening a programme from Japan titled “ Pond of Mirror”. Ms Su Mon, Head of Training at MRTV4 said, “the participants like the film from Japan about two brothers as it express not only the love between brothers but also the love of father and son. Moreover, the difficulties and achievement of young children by the time their parents are going outside to work.

Another thing that we have learned is that we have to consider not just on the quality of film but also on the social conditions and cultural emotions of each country”.

The five-day workshop ends on Friday 14 October 2011.
