In-Country Workshop on TV Children’s Programmes in Myanmar

The In-Country Workshop on TV Children’s Programmes for staff of MRTV4 Forever Group started on Monday 10 October 2011. The workshop is conducted by Mr Kalle Furst, a children’s programme specialist from Norway.

The workshop is being held at the newly established Myanmar Media Development Centre (MMDC) in Yangon.

The In-Country Workshop on TV Children’s Programmes for staff of MRTV4 Forever Group started on Monday [img_assist|nid=1954|title=|desc=|link=none|align=right|width=260|height=195]10 October 2011. The workshop is conducted by Mr Kalle Furst, a children’s programme specialist from Norway.

The workshop is being held at the newly established Myanmar Media Development Centre (MMDC) in Yangon.

Kalle introduced the subject by screening a programme from Japan titled “ Pond of Mirror”. Ms Su Mon, Head of Training at MRTV4 said, “the participants like the film from Japan about two brothers as it express not only the love between brothers but also the love of father and son. Moreover, the difficulties and achievement of young children by the time their parents are going outside to work.

Another thing that we have learned is that we have to consider not just on the quality of film but also on the social conditions and cultural emotions of each country”.

The five-day workshop ends on Friday 14 October 2011.
