AIBD is one of the supporting organizations of the conference. Singapore’s leading media company, MediaCorp hosted the event, which had some 43 public broadcasters discussing challenges faced by the sector. One such challenge was how public broadcast services could be reinvented in the face of new media.
During the conference, panel speakers discussed ways in which their own broadcast companies used technology to innovate. The conference also covered topics such as financial models and the digital switchover.
During the PBI 2011, AIBD Director Yang Binyuan has met with a number of speakers including Ms. Paula Kerger, President & CEO of PBS (USA), and invited them to the Asia Media Summit 2012.
