Asia Media Summit 2024

19TH ASIA MEDIA SUMMIT
The Asia Media Summit (AMS) is an annual international media conference organised by AIBD as its flagship event. Every year in consultation with the members, partners and various global media gurus, a theme guides the direction and delivery of the summit. Being a unique broadcasting event in Asia-Pacific, it attracts around 500 top-ranking broadcasters, decision makers, media professionals, regulators, scholars, and stakeholders from within and outside the region. Apart from plenary sessions and pre-summit workshops, Asia Media Summit also provides a platform for intergovernmental dialogues to uplift the benchmarks of the regional media industry.

Workshop on Election Coverage

The AIBD/TVRI In-country Workshop on Election Coverage is held in Manado, Indonesia from 25 – 27 May 2013, prior to the Asia Media Summit. The workshop focuses on how to have smart election programming based on media's role in democracy with high quality coverage – reflecting accuracy, fairness and balance.

The workshop focuses on how to have smart election programming based on media's role in democracy with high quality coverage – reflecting accuracy, fairness and balance.

Dr H. Farhat Syukri, President Director of TVRI, and Mr. Yang Binyuan, Director of AIBD graced the opening ceremony of the workshop at TVRI Station in Manado on May 25.

13 participants from regional stations of TVRI all over Indonesia take part in the workshop conducted by Mr. Savyasaachi Jan, an international journalism trainer.

The participants will also attend the AMS Pre-Summit Workshop on Media Ethics in the Age of Social Media on 28 May and the Asia Media Summit 29 – 30 May.
