Sports and Social Change
With 2014 being the stage for several mega sports events such as the Winter Olympic Games and the FIFA World Cup and it is an ideal time to look at how sports can be a force for positive social change. How can sports activities be harnessed for the greater good of all?
Protection of Indigenous Communities
As many countries pursue agendas of rapid economic growth and urbanization, indigenous communities are often at risk of being marginalized and harmed. What can be done to ensure indigenous communities are treated with respect and care and not become a disadvantaged population?
AIBD Radio Award for the Best Radio Programme on:
Human Migration and its consequences
International migration of people has large-scale ramifications on society and economic growth, such as ‘brain drain’ from developing to developed countries. What aspects of human migration have not been fully explored as of yet?
ICTs for Development
Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) hold tremendous potential for progress in the fields of socioeconomic development, international development and human rights. How can ICTs be incorporated to ensure development along with social harmony?
“The Prize” consists of US$ 500.00 cash, a trophy and a certificate presented by AIBD per Award category.
Winners will be presented with their Awards during the 40th Annual Gathering and 13th AIBD General Conference & Associated Meetings to be held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on 13-15 August 2014.
Please note that producers can submit up to two programmes per category and the deadline for programme submission is 30 June 2014.

World TV Awards 2014 – Extended and Final Deadline
Considering the importance of the topics and anticipating an overwhelming response from Television Programme Producers, the deadline for programme submission of the World TV Awards is now extended to Tuesday 1st April 2014, which will be the final deadline.
