Asia Media Summit 2024

19TH ASIA MEDIA SUMMIT
The Asia Media Summit (AMS) is an annual international media conference organised by AIBD as its flagship event. Every year in consultation with the members, partners and various global media gurus, a theme guides the direction and delivery of the summit. Being a unique broadcasting event in Asia-Pacific, it attracts around 500 top-ranking broadcasters, decision makers, media professionals, regulators, scholars, and stakeholders from within and outside the region. Apart from plenary sessions and pre-summit workshops, Asia Media Summit also provides a platform for intergovernmental dialogues to uplift the benchmarks of the regional media industry.

The Canal France International (CFI), the French operator in media cooperation, in partnership with AIBD, has launched an action programme for Asia, UPWARDS, bringing together international expertise and broadcasters projects.

The programme was officially announced by Mr. David Hivet, Asia/Mediterranean director of CFI at the Asia Media Summit 2013 in Manado.

The aim of the UPWARDS programme is to harness the multiple possibilities offered by technology to provide the tools and expertise needed to build the capacities of channel teams and to develop their activities in the context of the digital revolution.

UPWARDS’s ambition is to support television channels’ projects in order to enable them to meet the expectations of the audience, in particular on educational, cultural, social and community levels, and to implement them under the best possible conditions.

This programme is aimed at any Southeast Asian broadcasters, both public and private, keen to create a new channel, strengthen their output or develop new content.

For the details of the programme, please refer to its brochure.
