GMCD creates Mediahub with the objective of connecting international media leaders to players from emerging countries.
Why Mediahub ?
Driven by AIBD’s own extensive experience and feedback from its members, this project is built around the following observations:
- All audiovisual content producers and broadcasters are looking for cost-effective ways to expand their business in international markets
- They want a better and worldwide exposition of their brand
- For the emerging media actors, existing practices such as business trips or physical meetings to reach out content buyers and sellers can be expensive.
- International media leaders lack visibility, information and contacts for these fast growing emerging markets.
On both sides, media players are missing out on business opportunities. Mediahub provides a solution to these issues and ensures that leading and emerging media actors are connected. Mediahub links them with 2 key services:
1- Mediahub Access
It is a convenient and cost-efficient B2B e-platform for content distribution, acquisition, marketing and promotion. It was officially launched during the Asia Media Summit in Hanoi in 2011.
Mediahub Access offers privileged and direct access to all AIBD members as well as leading and emerging media players worldwide: 67 countries are connected to date and the number of new members is increasing by 30% per month.
2- Mediahub Market
Capitalizing on its fast growing development, Mediahub will take its activities one step further by launching Mediahub Market, an exhibition on a human scale that will provide a unique opportunity to network with key decision makers from the Asia-Pacific media industry. This event will take place back to back with the next Asia Media Summit, to be held 29-30 May 2012 in Bangkok at Sofitel Centara Grand Hotel.
