One of the highlights of the pre-summit events of the Asia Media Summit 2014 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia is the launch of the AIBD/FES publication “Media Ethics in the Age of Social Media” during the opening of the pre-summit workshop on the same theme on 5 May 2014.

On the occasion of the 10th Anniversary of the Asia Media Summit (AMS), AIBD members and hosts of the last ten AMS have sent their congratulatory video messages. A screening of the messages will be held at the Inaugural Session of the AMS in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on 6th May 2014.
AIBD/VON In-country Workshop on Performance Management
AIBD together with Voice of Nigeria (VON) holds a five day in-country workshop on Performance Management for Corporate Planning and Evaluation which commenced on 28 April 2014 with the aim of identifying the objectives that are needed to be affirmed and refined, along with the initiatives to be put in place in order to meet the aspirations of Voice of Nigeria.
Opening of AMS 2014 Registration Desk
The Asia Media Summit (AMS) 2014 registration desk will open for all delegates at the Jeddah Hilton Hotel beginning 3 May. For foreign AMS delegates arriving at the King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, please take notice that airport transfer to hotels will only be provided for those delegates staying at the official AMS hotels (Jeddah Hilton Hotel, Al Bilad Hotel, Elaf Hotel and Al Fanar Hotel).
Delegate Information for AMS 2014
For foreign delegates arriving at the King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, please take notice of the airport reception for the Asia Media Summit (AMS) 2014. At visitors exit from customs, delegates will find a platform with the signage of AMS 2014. The staff of the Summit host will be waiting for them and direct them to the transport outside the airport to the official AMS hotels.
CBA Conference on Music and Public Service Broadcasting
Music will be at the heart of this year’s Commonwealth Broadcasting Association (CBA) biennial conference from 11-14 May 2014 in Glasgow, a UNESCO City of Music.
Hosted by BBC Scotland in its state-of-the-art headquarters at Pacific Quay, the 30th CBA Conference will focus on the place of music in broadcasting.
