Asia Media Summit 2024

19TH ASIA MEDIA SUMMIT
The Asia Media Summit (AMS) is an annual international media conference organised by AIBD as its flagship event. Every year in consultation with the members, partners and various global media gurus, a theme guides the direction and delivery of the summit. Being a unique broadcasting event in Asia-Pacific, it attracts around 500 top-ranking broadcasters, decision makers, media professionals, regulators, scholars, and stakeholders from within and outside the region. Apart from plenary sessions and pre-summit workshops, Asia Media Summit also provides a platform for intergovernmental dialogues to uplift the benchmarks of the regional media industry.

AIBD QUALITY POLICY

In the world of changing media landscape with digitalisation, new media and social media, technology is only one of the challenges media is faced with. Know-how and quality – of the contents as well as of the organisation and management – are almost equally important to ensure the sustainability of the media organisations and their further development.

Convinced of the relevance of quality, AIBD had decided to apply for ISAS BCP 9001 international certification, and second to develop near its training core activities a new one dealing with quality management consultancy. The first certificate was issued in June 2009. AIBD was recertified as meeting the requirements of ISAS BCP 9001:2010. The latest certificate includes AIBD’s Quality Management systems and its core activities in training, consultancy, publication, content production and workshop organisation. Considering the nature of AIBD activities, AIBD had decided to transit to ISO 9001:2015 standard.

Quality management means for AIBD:
• Listening to and taking into account all interested parties: Full members, Affiliate members, partners, staff, and all people and organisations which benefit from AIBD service or production;
• Respecting all interested parties and not making any difference between big or small, public or private, poor or rich, from one country or another;
• Providing fair, accurate and high-value services;
• Answering to demand and claim;
• Committing to act according to its own ethics, values and procedures;
• Continuously updating internal skills;
• Monitoring its own organisation and achievements to improve processes and performance;
• Promoting risk based thinking.
