Visit of ITU BDT Director in KL
Mr. Brahima Sanou, the new Director of the ITU Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT) has recently visited Kuala Lumpur, meeting with colleagues from AIBD and ABU on further strengthening the long-term partnership.
Mr. Brahima Sanou, the new Director of the ITU Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT) has recently visited Kuala Lumpur, meeting with colleagues from AIBD and ABU on further strengthening the long-term partnership.

Mr. Sanou was briefed by AIBD Director Yang Binyuan and colleagues from ABU on the recent and planned joint activities between AIBD, ABU together with ITU, which were highlighted by AIBD/ABU/ITU Regional Workshop on Digital TV Coverage and Frequency Planning in Kuala Lumpur in March 2011 and AIBD/ITU/ABU/FES Regional Workshop on Strengthening Digital Broadcasting Experience in Hanoi in May 2011.
Mr. Sanou stated that his overarching priority is to make telecommunications a lever for social and economic development in all countries and ITU is willing to be the pillar in the process and will work intensively with all stakeholders and regional organizations such as AIBD and ABU.
AIBD Director Yang Binyuan extended invitation to Mr. Sanou on attending the Asia Media Summit in Bangkok, Thailand in May 2012.
