The ABU Secretariat invites applications for the post of DIRECTOR ABU PROGRAMMING
The ABU is seeking to recruit a high-calibre professional as a Director ABU Programming. The present Director ABU Programming will complete his contract with the ABU towards the end of 2017. Applications are therefore being sought to fill this important position.

POSITION SUMMARY
The key responsibilities of the position are:
- The overall management and supervision of the ABU Programming Department, liaison with the ABU Programme and Copyright Committees, Programme Bureau and Radio Working Party, and taking action on decisions of the ABU on programming matters.
- The preparation of an annual activity plan and budget for the Programming Department to meet the requirements of the ABU Strategic Plan and the ABU Activity Plan.
- The planning, management and implementation of activities to assist ABU members in raising the standard of their content development skills.

REQUIREMENTS
Applications will only be considered from candidates with:
- A recognised university degree in a relevant field
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in programming (radio and TV and new media) and broadcasting.
- At least 5 years in a senior management position.
- The applicant should be a citizen of a country within the ABU region, and have experience in organising large events such as conferences, seminars and forums.
REMUNERATION & BENEFITS
The salary for this position will depend on qualifications and experience. If the successful applicant is a non-Malaysian citizen, salary and allowances will be free of income tax in Malaysia.
