AIBD & FES: 3 fruitful decades
After more than 35 years of productive association, the collaboration between AIBD and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) is turning a new leaf. Even as AIBD continues to be associated with FES, the German organisation’s office in Malaysia is being closed down by year-end.
After more than 35 years of productive association, the collaboration between AIBD and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) is turning a new leaf. Even as AIBD continues to be associated with FES, the German organisation’s office in Malaysia is being closed down by year-end.
As an appreciation of its consistent support, AIBD organised a Farewell Lunch for FES colleagues on 5 December 2014. FES has consistently collaborated with AIBD in many of its activities since the opening of the office in the late seventies in Kuala Lumpur.
During the farewell ceremony, AIBD Deputy Director Marcel Gomez thanked FES for all its generous support over the years in funding various AIBD training activities and conferences such as the AMS. He noted the contributions made by each of the Project Manager’s of the organisation since it began and personally wished all the colleagues well in their future pursuits.
FES Project Manager Henning Effner thanked AIBD for their active partnership in realising the organisations interests. He noted that it was sad to see the office closing, but hoped that the association with AIBD will continue at a different level.
