19TH ASIA MEDIA SUMMIT
The Asia Media Summit (AMS) is an annual international media conference organised by AIBD as its flagship event. Every year in consultation with the members, partners and various global media gurus, a theme guides the direction and delivery of the summit. Being a unique broadcasting event in Asia-Pacific, it attracts around 500 top-ranking broadcasters, decision makers, media professionals, regulators, scholars, and stakeholders from within and outside the region. Apart from plenary sessions and pre-summit workshops, Asia Media Summit also provides a platform for intergovernmental dialogues to uplift the benchmarks of the regional media industry.

Extension of Deadline for Thai PBS Video Clip Competition

Thai Public Broadcasting Service (Thai PBS), together with the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) and the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR), have the pleasure to extend the deadline for the short film competition under the theme “Promoting Investments for Resilient Nations and Communities”.

Thai Public Broadcasting Service (Thai PBS), together with the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) and the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR), have the pleasure to extend the deadline for the short film competition under the theme “Promoting Investments for Resilient Nations and Communities”.

The new deadline for submission is 20 April 2014 and the winner will be awarded at the Asian Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction in Bangkok from 23 – 25 June 2014.

Short films in local languages will now be exceptionally accepted as the jury has agreed to work with translators to identify the best short films in different languages.
