AIBD/FES In-Country Workshop on Broadcast Management concludes in Kuala Lumpur

The In-Country Workshop on Broadcast Management jointly organised by AIBD and Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) was conducted as the AIBD office from 8-10 October 2012 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The In-Country Workshop on Broadcast Management jointly organised by AIBD and Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) was conducted as the AIBD office from 8-10 October 2012 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The workshop brought in seven senior managers from various disciplines in major public and private broadcasting organisations in Myanmar. The consultant for this course was Ms. Shantakumari R. Nagendram, SkillFocus Consultancy, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The focus of the workshop was to provide an overview of the effective management strategies and styles needed to contribute to good governance and enrich the literacy of the peoples in Myanmar. Participants took part in a variety of individual exercises and group activities in order to promote effective methods of leadership, motivation and conflict resolution in regards to their staff.

During the workshop, the participants from Myanmar were also given a guided tour of the studios of RTM on 9 October 2012.
