2011 is the finalization of the 3-year training activities plan dedicated to TV Content supported by The French Foreign Affairs Ministry and AIBD. This training activities started by a regional workshop on “TV Directing and Artistic Direction” hosted by the TV channel MCOT, in Bangkok, Thailand. The objective was to set up a practical oriented workshop, where participants concretely explored directing, set design, lighting, framing and presenting techniques by producing a TV show pilot project.
During 4 days, from the 2nd to 5th August, the participants from MCOT, GMA, Media Prima and SCTV were able to create and produce a “Family Entertainment Show”, targeting a wide audience of viewers. The final result being two TV shows of 12 and 13 minutes including news slots and weather, along with outdoor shooting and studio shooting slots.
Keverne Mapp – Art Director, Set Designer, Presenter’s coach – and Jean-Dominique Poupel – TV Director, Editor and Cameraman Coach – were the two experts who conducted this workshop and succeeded to stimulate creativity and synergy within the group of participants.
