Myanmar to Set up Media Training College
Myanmar is planning to set up a national media training college in the coming years to bring up first class talent for radio and television in the country and ASEAN at large.
On April 28th, 2011, at the invitation of Mr. U Winn Maw, Chairman of Forever Group, CEO of MRTV-4 and Adviser of Ministry of Information, Myanmar, AIBD Director Yang Binyuan attended the Myanmar Media Training College (MMTC) Planning Meeting in Yangon.

On April 28th, 2011, at the invitation of Mr. U Winn Maw, Chairman of Forever Group, CEO of MRTV-4 and Adviser of Ministry of Information, Myanmar, AIBD Director Yang Binyuan attended the Myanmar Media Training College (MMTC) Planning Meeting in Yangon.
At the full-day meeting, Mr. Khin Maung Htay, Director of MMTC, introduced the background and detailed proposal for the MMTC, which will be an in-house training center for MRTV-4 staff and a full-fledged broadcast training college in the long run.
The delegates also visited the potential site for the college and MRTV-4 facilities. Director Yang Binyuan made the presentation on AIBD’s potential support to the college including curriculum, instructional design and training of trainers. He also discussed the next steps for the set-up of the college and AIBD will coordinate between Forever Group and potential partners at the AMS 2011 in Hanoi and AIBD GC 2011 in Mongolia.
