Ko Sam-seog became a KCC Standing Commissioner in June 2014. He graduated from Chosun University with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations in 1993, completed a master’s in Political Science from Sogang University in 1996 and a Ph.D. in Journalism from Chung-Ang University in 2010. He worked as a secretary and advisor to a member of the National Assembly in 1996 and 2000 respectively. In 2003 he assumed a position of administrative officer to the president in the Public Relations Planning office. He was also an expert member of the Broadcasting & Telecommunication Convergence Promoting Commission under the Prime Minister’s Office in 2006. In addition to his public service career, Commissioner Ko was an adjunct professor in the Department of Journalism and Broadcasting at Chung-Ang University. He was the chief of Media Literacy Center, Media & Future Institute in 2013 and a policy research fellow for the National Assembly in 2014.
