Rizal Giovanni Aportadera Jr. has devoted over 30 years in the Philippine radio broadcast industry. He has worked for major broadcast networks in the Philippines such as ABS-CBN, GMA, and CNN Philippines. He is currently at the helm of the Philippine Broadcasting Service (PBS), an attached agency of the Presidential Communications Operations office (PCOO) as its Director General. Under Mr. Aportadera's leadership, PBS is now revolutionizing the Philippine government radio with innovative programs, better-trained personnel, and continuing efforts to upgrade its radio broadcast equipment and facilities. He also served as City Tourism Officer of Davao City under Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte, now President of the Republic of the Philippines, from 2008-2010 and City Information Officer under Mayor Sara Z. Duterte from 2010-2012.
