Aims

The workshop aims to enhance the news gathering skills of news producers, reporters and anchors of FBC. It’ll help attendees to improve their writing & reporting skills, better planning and production of their coverage and improve their on screen presence.

Multi tasking will be a key to the training and special emphasis on coverage of big events like elections will be a main focus area. Trainer will share news gathering formats & protocols used internationally.

The workshop will be interactive with practical exercises to ensure attendees are able to put to use what's being taught in the workshop.

Objectives

At the end of the workshop the participants will be able to:

  • Enhance their skill set in news writing, reporting & production
  • Staff will be able to make optimum use of existing & new technologies for newsgathering
  • Training on latest newsroom operations and protocols will help staff better their overall performance
  • Multi-tasking to increase work output while maintaining the work quality
  • They will have Synergy across all departments for qualitative and quantitative gain
  • Live anchoring and interviewing skills will be enhanced as the trainer will give tips and do practical exercises to better the existing skill set

  • Multi-skilled Journalists
  • Upper age limit is 45 years
  • Ability to understand, speak and write in English fluently.
