The results of the World Television Awards 2012 are:

CATEGORY HUMANITY for the Best TV Documentary "Promoting Religious Understanding and Tolerance”

  • Winner: “DHARMA – WHERE DOES HAPPINESS LIE?” directed by Chan-Gyu, Yun and Geun-Young, Choi and broadcast by KBS ITV - Korea
  • Runner-up: " TWO WOMEN – A SHARED TRAGEDY" directed by James Pastouna and broadcast by ARD - Germany

CATEGORY SCIENCE / ENVIRONMENT for the Best TV Programme “Preserving the Ozone Layer and Protecting the Earth"

  • Winner: “OZONE – THE HUMAN FACTOR” directed by Rehan Ahmed and broadcast by HUM TV- Pakistan
  • Runner-up: "PHASE OUT HCFCs WHICH ARE SAFER FOR THE OZONE LAYER " directed by Khvay Atitya and broadcast by TVK – Cambodia
  • Runner-up (ex-aequo): "PRESERVING THE OZONE: FROM HAPPY PEOPLE" directed by Sonam Phuntsho and broadcast by BBS - Bhutan

World TV Awards judging session, 7 & 8 May 2012, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

The final judging session of the World TV Awards 2012 took place 7 and 8 May 2012 at the AIBD office in Kuala Lumpur.

Ms. Moneeza Hashmi, General Manager HUM TV Pakistan and Commonwealth Broadcasting Association President, chaired the jury.

The other members of the jury were:
