"Short TV Programmes – Part 3" was the third of four regional workshops of the third year training programmes dedicated to TV content, formats and visual dynamics supported by the French Government and AIBD. From December 5 to 8, 2011 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, participants from the TV channels GMA (Philippines), SCTV (Indonesia) and Media Prima, the host, worked together to create a Short TV Programme from the concept to the production.

Consequently, the objective was to set up a practical oriented training, where participants could concretely explore directing, set design, lighting, framing and presenting techniques by producing a TV Short Programme. This activity continued on the two previous workshops on Short TV programmes, which were held in 2009 and 2010.

During the four days, the participants created a Short TV Programme, Jessie’s Headlines and shot 2 episodes. Mark Meily, Film and TV Director, rewarded for the adaptation of the famous French Short TV Programmes Camera Café, and Jean-Dominique Poupel, TV Director, Cameraman Coach and Professional Trainer, were the 2 experts who conducted this workshop. Perhaps in the future one of the TV channels would be interested in continuing to develop Jessie’s Headlines.
