AIBD together with UNESCO Office in Hanoi implemented the first mission from 5 to 9 September 2011 as a preparatory meeting to translate into Vietnamese the AIBD/FES publication on “Broadcasting for All: Focus on Gender” – a guideline for gender-sensitive broadcasting.
17 senior managers have attended the four-day regional workshop on Broadcast Management in Kuala Lumpur, organized and hosted by AIBD, and supported by ABU, FES, ER and MSF.
Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) ran the "Digital Switchover Techniques & Policy Course" from the August 17th to August 25th. The course was the second collaboration course with AIBD (Asia Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development) this year, and twenty-one broadcasting experts from fourteen AIBD member countries were invited by KISA.
The Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD), the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) and the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) as part of its Media Partnership have undertaken a joint regional workshop for the first time.
The 37th Annual Gathering and 10th AIBD General Conference & Associated Meetings, hosted by the Mongolian National Broadcaster (MNB), was held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia from July 25-28, 2011. Over 60 delegates from AIBD members, affiliates and partners took part in the GC.
2011 is the finalization of the 3-year training activities plan dedicated to TV Content supported by The French Foreign Affairs Ministry and AIBD. This training activities started by a regional workshop on "TV Directing and Artistic Direction" hosted by the TV channel MCOT, in Bangkok, Thailand.
The 26th AIBD Strategic Plan Team meeting was held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on July 25th, 2011, prior to the opening of the 37th Annual Gathering and 10th AIBD General Conference & Associated Meetings. Nearly 30 delegates from AIBD members took part in the meeting.
