Nineteen participants from Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Singapore and Sri Lanka attended a three-day AIBD/UNESCO-IPDC Regional Workshop on ‘Addressing Gender Bias in Media’ from 27 to 29 March 2019 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was supported by UNESCO-IPDC.

AIBD is pleased to announce the final winners for the AIBD TV and Radio Awards 2018. The judging session occurred on 16 July 2018 at the AIBD office in Kuala Lumpur. The winners were awarded at the 44th Annual Gathering / 17th AIBD General Conference & Associated Meetings to be held from 2 to 4 August 2018 in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

 

AMS Excursion 2019

The official hosts for the Asia Media Summit 2019, the Ministry of Information of the Kingdom of Cambodia, will be organising an excursion trip on Friday, 14 June 2019 to Angkor Wat Temple, open for all delegates attending the conference.

Innovative Technology - A Key to Korea’s Response to Digital Revolution

To meet changes in the global media environment and respond to the digital revolution age, Korea will spread ‘Hallyu’ or the Korean wave to include k-pop, drama and games, establish a Korean content distribution platform and strengthen its status as a leading country in 5G technology, according to Dr Sam Seog Ko, Standing Commissioner of the Korean Communications Commission (KCC), Korea.
