MBA in Media and Communications
Marcel Gomez

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between AIBD the Management Institute of Canada (MIC) and HELP University College (HUC) on 13 March 2008 to offer an MBA in Media and Communications.

The number of media channels have increased many hundred folds in the last two decades. The dearth of adequately trained manpower is acutely felt by media organisations. Many institutions throughout the world offer training in communication and media. But management of media organisations is not a part of the curriculum. After studying the situation in the field of media and communications, MIC, HUC and AIBD joined hands to create a new program in which the priority would be given to generating a highly skilled management cadre for media organisations.

The MBA programme will be offered in the first quarter of 2009. It will be a 12 months programme offering 12 subjects and a research paper.

Most of the subjects will be offered online with a face-to-face component at the end. The subjects will be taught by an international faculty comprising professors and lectures from Canada, USA, Malaysia and Australia to name a few.
