About the General Conference

The AIBD General Conference and its Associated Meetings is the annual official gathering of the Institute. The General Conference is open to AIBD Members Countries, Affiliates Members and partners by invitation only. Members Countries, Affiliates and partners would have the opportunity to review the huge number of activities handled by their Institute within and comment on the future activities. [more]

Executive Board

The functions and responsibilities of the Executive Board (EXBO) are to assist the General Conference and the Institute matters like Financial affairs, human resource including Investments and Reserve Funds, Institutional development concerned with organizational, administrative and management aspects and finally Programme development. The following nine (9) countries are currently members of the Executive Board:

  1. China
  2. France
  3. Thailand
  4. Korea
  5. India
  6. Iran
  7. Maldives
  8. Singapore
  9. Malaysia

Thailand, being the President of the General Conference and the Director (AIBD) are ex-officio members.

Term of office for the following four countries have one more year up to August 2008 to complete their term of office: Iran, Maldives, Singapore and Malaysia

The term of office for the following five member countries will expire on August 2007: China, France, Thailand, Korea and India.
