WORLD TV AWARDS - SHORTLIST 2019

The finalist for World TV Awards 2019 has been selected. The entries come from 15 countries and winner from each category will receive a cash prize of USD 5000, a trophy and a certificate. The winners will be announced at the 2019 Asia Media Summit Awards ceremony in Siem Reap, Cambodia on Thursday 13th June.

rt awardsRT is now accepting entries for the 2019 Khaled Alkhateb Memorial Awards, an annual international competition that recognizes the best journalism from conflict zones. The competition, now in its second year, was established in honor of RT Arabic freelancer, Khaled Alkhateb, who died in 2017 while reporting from Syria.

The jurors are gathered in Kuala Lumpur for the 2-day judging session of the World TV Awards 2019. As last year, this year’s judging panel comprise industry experts, media professionals and senior TV producers. 

Among the countries that entered the competition are; Bangladesh, Brunei, Fiji, Germany, Hong Kong, Kazakhstan, Korea, Maldives, Mauritius, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.

There are two categories for the World TV Awards:

Earth Day 2019

International Mother Earth Day is celebrated worldwide on the 22nd of April to support the environmental protection and to recognize the saviours of mother nature. This year the theme is “Protect our species” and has a focus on saving species which are on the verge of extinction due to climate change, deforestation, pollution and illegal poaching.

RonaldRoland Husson is the Counsellor for cooperation and cultural affairs, French Embassy in Malaysia. Although a career diplomat he is not new to media industry. He served as the Head of Public Service Broadcasting Service of the French Ministry of Culture and Communication.
